Be Efficient

Know what you're paying for ... ...

Coaching is a new profession (about 10 years formally) and certification and licensing are not yet required in the UK.

As a result, there are many individuals who call themselves coaches who have not been formally trained in specific coaching skills and are transferring skill sets from other professions into their coaching. Often this results in an inadequate or ineffective coaching experience for clients.

The Founder of The Efficiency Coach, Heather Townsend, has chosen to only employ coaches who are accredited members of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

The ICF is the only globally recognised professional association for coaches, and is to coaches what the British Medical Association (BMA) is to doctors.

She believes that her clients deserve a coach who

  • Is accountable to the standards and ethics of an internationally recognised professional body
  • Has demonstrated a proficient understanding and use of the coaching competencies as outlined by the International Coaching Federation.

Research shows that the average person spend 40 minutes reviewing emails before starting "work". Next time you "CC" someone, ask: do they really need it?
